Professional Values

I continue to drive to downtown Phoenix every day to student teach in the morning, and train in the afternoon. My entire group was moved from our practice teaching site to a new school at 16th street and Roosevelt. This is good because I am no longer assigned to a P.E. class, and instead have been placed in a regular 5th grade summer school class. Tomorrow I get to teach a whole lesson on the skeletal system, which is right up my alley, so I am very excited (but also nervous/sick to my stomach/dreading it because, well, it's me). I still don't know where I will be teaching in the fall, but hopefully I will know soon. I did find out that I have been accepted to the ASU graduate program though!

Lee and I have been looking for a house to rent. He will be working at Intel in Chandler, and I will be working somewhere in downtown/south Phoenix, so we've been looking at places in north Ahwautukee, north and south Tempe, northwest Chandler and south Scottsdale. We found a cute place near the 101 and Indian School, but the owner turned out to be crazy. We hadn't been having much luck since then until today, when Lee and his Dad found a great place in Tempe, near the I-10 and Baseline. We looked inside it tonight, and I love it! It has a beautiful backyard, clean carpet, new appliances and it's in a really convenient location for both of us. I really hope it works out for us because I am so ready to LIVE with my boyfriend! And when asked for his opinion, Boy said he's so ready to climb those trees!
