Lovin' It

My new students are great. Like really great. I asked them to tell me what they did this summer, and they said they went to China to sing, Australia to play viola, Japan to ballet dance, Costa Rica to act. I asked them what their favorite books were and they said Ender's Game, Dracula, Pride and Prejudice, Of Mice and Men (because he cried at the end). I gave them homework on the first day and no one clicked their teeth. Instead every one of them wrote the details neatly into their school-provided planner and said "Bye Ms. Davey!" on the way out.
