Stupid things about the National Science Teachers Association Conference:

Terrified animals for absolutely no reason

Awkward "Physics of Rollercoasters" presentation by a girl that wasn't that good at physics

Great things about National Science Teachers Association Conference:

Ira Flatow, host of science Friday, gave an awesome presentation

Ran a gel electrophoresis and learned how to borrow all the equipment to do it with my students!

Matthew Kaplan from U of A and his Human Origins Genotyping presentation

Free Wisconsin Fast Plants!

Great pix from the floor of the convention hall. Overall, I hope you had a good experience at the Phoenix conference. Keep an eye out for "Gel Electrophoresis on a Budget" in the January 2010 issue of TST.

Best,
